I had the pleasure of being taught the true art of Karate by this man in the early too late 1990’s. Bill taught me about respect, honour and dedication. At the time I was too young to understand, but his teachings would eventually become a pillar to the way I conducted myself as a man today. A story to tell: There was picture that hung above the large mirrors of Bill’s Dojo of a Crane trying to eat a small Frog. The Frog, half way down the Cranes throat! has its hands around the Cranes neck with the caption – Don’t Ever Give Up. This is an image I will never forget. Above all the training, all the sweat filled Gi’s, Bill’s honest criticism and the fun filled family and friend events, I will always remember that he taught me never to give up. Bill was a great man and I’m honoured to have had him a part of my life. He will be forever missed. - Scott
