It’s been almost five years since his passing, and I studied with him in the early 1970’s, and I still think about Sensei Carr. He was my first introduction to the wisdom of the east. He was a master in the martial arts, and a master storyteller who often blew our minds with his many narratives after class. Meeting him was a transition point in my life and I shall forever be grateful that I had a chance to have him as a teacher.
