The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

In Florida

My parents were friends of Mac and Bud and rented at the same place at Navarre.  Mom had a place on her hand, sounded to me on the phone as a ganglion (I am RN).  She said that she was going to ask Bud, I said don't bother all his patients are dead.  She told him what I had said, and he agreed.  Once when my folks were leaving for a week Dad was afraid that Bud and another golfer there would run out of golf balls, so before leaving, he left a bag of "found" balls outside of each of their doors.  When they returned, they were both nearly out.   Dad has been calling Bud every year at Christmas time and mentioned tonight that he had not gotten a note from Bud, so I search and found that Bud had passed this year. Dad sends his sympathy to the family.  Dad will be 96 in January 2016.   Our best.  Munroe Hawkins from Farmington Maine USA.
