Obituary for Rose Audette (Payne)

Rose Audette (Payne)
Rose Audette (Payne)
Born April 3rd 1929 in
Crail, Fife Scotland passed away peacefully July 10th, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ernest Audette and daughters Grace (Michal) and June (Joseph) and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was a devoted mother, a loving sister to 6 siblings and a kind and gentle aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was truly devoted to her husband, Ernie. Their bond and partnership spanned over 60 years and is as strong today as it was when they married in 1955.
Rose was an incredible person who faced all of life’s challenges with grace, determination and optimism. Her battle with Parkinson’s was long but even that she faced head on and fought with ever fibre of her being for 26 years, not letting the disease get the best of her.
Rose was a veteran. After she left the army, she returned to Scotland from Egypt and soon after, emigrated to Canada.
She built a life for herself here. Married and had 4 children.
Rose was a shining light to all that knew her. She lived her life and filled it with joy, love and compassion.
The amazing life her husband and children have is because of her.
She is our true hero. She is truly missed, yet will live on in our hearts with all the life lessons she gave us by her example and all of the memories we carry in our hearts.

Service will be held on Monday July 16th, 2018 at 12 pm. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Skinner & Middlebrook Funeral Home, 128 Lakeshore Rd East Mississauga, ON
