Condolences

Condolence From: Lorne McDougall
Condolence: So many fond memories of Uncle Benny and Aunt Olga when my brother Kevin and I were growing up. Hanging out with our cousins Carl, Ronnie and Laurence... Cori didn't come along until much later... and everybody down in NS was so much fun when we were kids. All the parties on Blantyre St. and out in Clarkston. Mackeral fishing in South Bar,non-stop country music, singing, fiddling, guitar playing, listening to card games, trips to Margaree, summer visits to cottage country and Carl and I sneaking off with the half empty Schooner beer bottles when my uncles were too drunk to notice. There are no better memories from my childhood. No one could throw a party like the Philips' girls and my uncles. So much fun and so many happy memories. We still play the cello Uncle Benny made for my daughter Lindsay 15 years ago. Her music teachers marveled at the sound of it and no one believed it was hand made until they peeked inside and saw Uncle Benny's message to her. My brother Kevin and I, our kids and all of our cousins and their kids were so lucky to have Uncle Benny and Aunt Olga in our lives. Both will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts and memory. Heartfelt condolences to Carl, Ronnie, Laurence and Cori and their families. Love Lorne, Helen, Devin, Lindsay, Ryan and Mei Ling.

Condolence From: Cathy "Marie" Smith
Condolence: To Carl, Ron, Laurence, and my best-cousin-friend Cori: I am deeply sorry for your loss. I loved Uncle Benny and Aunt Olga very much and have walked the path of losing parents already. I always loved Aunt Olga because she was funny, impeccably dressed (and feeding my fashion sense!) and, most of all, because of how kind she was. That goes for your dad too. You guys have been in my heart and prayers these past two weeks. Just think of the big Smith gathering in Heaven right now and try to smile (Margie's words).
