Obituary for Michael Ibbotson

My Brother and I would like to announce the sudden passing of our Father Michael Ibbotson on April 14 2020, at the age of 76.
Born in Blackburn, England October 6th 1943, Mike immigrated to Canada at the age of 4 along with his Mother, where they joined his Father. From the mid 60's Michael was the Emergency Chairman in the Emergency Measures Organization EMO, where he organized and performed search and rescue operations as well as Halloween patrols, not long after that he was also a member in the Lake Ontario CB communications club. He was a proud member of the St. John's Ambulance Port Credit Branch 504 for many years, where he was an instructor. Mike worked at the St. Lawrence Starch Company for approximately 12 yrs, where he also taught first aid. From approximately 1976 to 1990 Mike was also a member of the Master Bowlers association, during which time he coached many young bowlers, and received many accolaids and awards.
Mike is predeceased by his parents Doris and Alan Ibbotson, and his wife Emma Susan Ibbotson (Eddy), he will be deeply missed by his two children, Son, Rodney (Sue) Of Burlington Ontario and his daughter Carrie of Port Credit, not to mention a large number of family spread world wide.
Dad you were a force to be reckoned with, we love you and miss you so much. Dad was also known by a few nick names some which include sleepy mike, & uncle grumps, lovingly given by his niece Lynn.
At this we would like to thank all the staff at Trillium Health Partners for their extraordinary care and support. At the request of our father no service is to be held, with a burial in Bathurst New Brunswick at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Heart and stroke foundation or a charity of you choosing.
