Marjorie Alma  Firth
Marjorie Alma Firth (Thomson) passed away peacefully in Cobourg, Ontario on Dec. 8th, 2019 in her 98th year.
Devoted wife of the late Daniel Alexander Firth, beloved mother of the late Tom and his wife Krystyna of Timmins, Allison and her husband Dave Strutt of Newtonville, Diane and her husband Ric Fluke of Burlington, Bob and his wife Louise Lanctôt of Cornwall, cherished grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 8, great-great-grandmother of 2.
Marjorie always remembered her many friends from northern and southern Ontario.
A life-long teacher, Marjorie taught in the North including Kirkland Lake, then stayed at home with her children, returning to supply teaching later.
A life-long traveler, she went to Mexico early on, Florida several times, and travelled internationally to most of Europe exploring castles and museums and historic sites.
A life-long bridge player, Marjorie played with family, friends, and acquaintances following the conventions that she continued learning as they developed.
A life-long reader, she continued reading her favourite Canadian and English mysteries and novels.
She will be missed.
Friends may call at Skinner and Middlebrook Funeral Home, 128 Lakeshore Rd. E., Mississauga ON Thursday December 12th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services at St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church, 24 Stavebank Street North, Mississauga in Port Credit at 11.00 a.m. on Friday, December 13th, followed by a reception.
