It is with great sadness that the family of Mario Simone announces his passing on December 28,2022.
Born in Abbateggio, Abruzzo, Italy on September 2, 1949, Mario was predeceased by his parents Santino and Marianna Simone, as well as his sister, Eva(Dave). Mario is survived by his 2 children, Andrew (Kathleen) of Rothesay, NB and Ryan of Mississauga, ON as well as his grandchildren Sadie, Benjamin and Augustus. Mario leaves behind a large extended family of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mario was an avid sports enthusiast and loved to watch the Leafs and Raptors games with his sons, always attending as many games as he could. Mario took many sports trips in his lifetime and derived great joy from these excursions. Mario also cherished his many years spent up north in cottage country; it was there that he created many great memories with family and friends.
In keeping with Mario's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral however the family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a future date.
