Miss Maria Philomenia De Souza
24th of August 1951 – 18th August 2021

DE SOUZA, Maria Philomenia passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on August 18th 2021.

Family and friends are welcome to the Skinner & Middlebrook Funeral Home for viewing 2-3pm and funeral service 3 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 Due to Covid restrictions, if you wish to attend the funeral service, please contact the family as there are limited seats available. Cremation and interment will be later for the immediate family only.

Maria was the fifth daughter of the late Harry and Marie De Souza.

She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Hill, Angela Omrow, Helene De Souza, Maggie De Souza, Cathy De Souza-Allicock and Teresita Bradshaw and brothers Francis and Henry. Predeceased by Rose Dos Ramos and Gerard De Souza. Sister-in-law of Peter Dos Ramos, Anastasia De Souza, Mackie Allicock and Lysle Bradshaw
She was the loving aunt of George and Annette; Rohan, Indira and Judy; Michael and the late Rosita; Donnie, Joey and Nicole; Ray, Samantha, Peter and Karen, Janine and Daniel; and Nashelle.
Great Aunt of Emma and Maeve; Angelina, Jonny, Gabriella, Christiano and Constantine; Aaliyah, Benjamin, Daniel and Nathaniel , Ariana, Ryan of Canada and Michael, RJ, Rhea and Ronaldo; Connor, Jensen and Jevier of Guyana and Shania and Shane of Wales.

Maria worked at JP Santos in Guyana and upon immigration to Canada in 1989 joined Woolco and Walmart where she held several management positions and received many awards, including Shinning Star of the Year. She was an avid Blue Jays fan! And the neighbors always knew when a game was on!
