YEO, Margaret V.H. (nee Robinson)
July 27, 1929 – February 24, 2021
After living a wonderful life for almost 92 years, Margaret passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side. Margaret known by friends and family as “Queen” lived a full and happy life.
She was a loving mother to Mary Jane, Nancy (Bruce), and Bill, Jr. (Sheri). She cherished her grandchildren Matt, Chris, Ryan, Michael, Ben, and Jaqui. Auntie Marg will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.
A proud graduate of Hamilton General Hospital’s, class of ’52 in Nursing, and devoted member of Trinity Anglican Church for 55 years, Margaret always was always caring for people with a commitment to improve their lives and wellbeing. She impacted many lives through her work in hospitals, prison and with the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) in the community. After retiring from Nursing, Margaret volunteered at the Trillium Hospital (Mississauga) for over 30 years.
Margaret liked to keep busy and moving. She actively entertained and socialized and had a zest for adventure. She was a positive and energetic person whose spirit filled the room. She enjoyed learning and experiencing new things (except for technology!), loved to travel, take courses and talk to people about their experiences. When she wasn’t adventuring, she loved to spend time crafting, with her family and with her many friends who were like family.
Queen will be deeply missed but for those fortunate enough to have had her in their lives, she will never be forgotten.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the commitment and care of the palliative care team from Care Partners, and Dr. C. Gilchrest (The Dorothy Ley Hospice) who made it possible for mom to spend her final days in her home, as well as to Maritess (Tess) for her care, devotion and support.
Cremation has taken place. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held later.
Arrangements entrusted to Skinner & Middlebrook Funeral Home. Please see photos of Margaret and share your condolences, memories and photos at www.skinnerandmiddlebrook.com
It was Margaret’s preference that any donations be directed to Trillium Hospital (Mississauga).
