Condolence From: Gary Lindfield
Condolence: Dear Connie and Ron;
I was very sorry to just hear of Kens passing. Connie I was more a friend of Ron's at Oakridge although I admired Ken's football prowess at school and with the London Lords. Ken and I did have the opportunity to work together, briefly, as bouncers at the Hotel London - something I really wasn't cut out for. He saved my bacon more than once.
All the best!
Gary

Condolence From: Georgina & Doug Smith
Condolence: Dear Connie, Doug and I are so saddened by your loss of your soulmate Ken and by our own loss of such a good friend. We have such fond memories of our time with you and Ken and the trips we had together whether sailing on OZ, skiing in Austria or just relaxing on vacations together. We are so glad to have those memories of good times we spent together.
Ken was always there for anyone who needed help and always gave 100 percent to anything he did. He is truly a great loss to all the people who knew and loved him and if it is any consolation, we share your pain. We know that you have the strength to get through this difficult time but if you falter, please know that your friends are there for you.
Love, Georgina & Doug

Condolence From: Paul and Cathy Beardsworth
Condolence: Dear Connie we are so sorry to hear this news . We fondly remember the first time we met you at Warderick Wells. We touched base in different anchorages for several years after that. We remember the great mentorship you both provided. Paul won't ever forget Ken helping him tackle the hot water pressure hose leak ,which couldn't have been fixed without his assistance. We were always happy to sail into an anchorage on Lucia and see that Oz was there.
Thinking of you . Paul and Cathy

Condolence From: Ralph Mahar & Sonja Matthys
Condolence: Sonja and I were very saddened to hear of Ken's passing, Connie. We've thought of you both so very often over the years, as Don & Carol Anne shared stories of the many reunions of the "Oakridge Boys"; a true Band of Brothers, along with you all; their lovely wives. I knew Ken when he & Don were in Rovers together in the 1960's as part of Scouts Canada, marvelled at this gentle giant, with a wonderful laugh, a welcoming spirit, and a formidable presence on the football field or the wrestling mat. Such a truly special person. He will be deeply missed by all those who were honoured to know him, and never forgotten for the influence, goodness and humanity that he generously shared. With sympathies to you, Ron, Sue, & your families, and deepest respect.... Ralph & Sonja
