James Philip Warren Parsons (May 24, 1960 - November 1, 2023) passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. James is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Dorothy Parsons, his brother John and his sister, Patricia. Jimmy to his family and friends, is mourned by his siblings, Catherine and Bill, brother-in-law, Neil, sister-in-law, Robin, nieces, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Holly, Annie, and Lily, and nephews Mac and Finley, as well as many members of his extended family.
Jimmy’s good humor and infectious enthusiasm for music, technology and serving others will be missed. He always lit up the room and made sure to include everyone. He was there at the start and end of every celebration.
Jim started his career at Aldus Canada just as the desktop publishing revolution was transforming the publishing and printing industries, then worked at Apple building their channel for new publishing and media technologies. Jim was prescient about the impact of the internet and new media, and held senior roles in marketing and business development at a few pivotal technology companies. Ten years ago, he became laser-focused on the potential that mobile technology offered for helping people manage their health and wellness, and he worked tirelessly since to achieve that.
Jimmy‘s family would like to thank Simon Abbott and the medical staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family would be most appreciative of donations to the Oakville Hospital Foundation
