Elizabeth Grace (Betty) Rogers

The very model of grace, kindness and generosity, Betty Rogers, nee Colbourne passed away peacefully at Niagara Health hospital in St. Catharines on December 6th, 2020.
Predeceased in 2014 by her beloved husband, Wilf of 64 years and sadly by her dear son Don in 2018.
Betty is survived by daughter, Cathy and her husband Mark Crump, Daughter-in-law Debbie Rogers. She was a wonderful Grandma “Grams” to Jeff, Scott and his wife Hailey. Special Great Grandmother to Harrison, Mallory Jane, and Leigh. Born in Toronto on March 8th, 1925, Betty was the eldest daughter of four children born to Terence and Marguerite Colbourne. Survived by brother’s Gord (Beth) Colbourne, Doug (Joanne) Colbourne, predeceased by Don (Marion) Colbourne.

Betty and Wilf met at University of Toronto, after they were married they moved to Port Moody, B.C. and then returned to Port Credit Mississauga in 1964. She spent the last several years in a wonderful retirement home in Niagara. Long time, active member of the Port Credit First United Church and involved in numerous community charity work and various projects. Also, she enjoyed the camera and garden club, as well as various bridge groups in Mississauga. Somehow, she still had time to travel to many Countries with Wilf.

Special thanks to all the staff at Vineland Chartwell Retirement Residence who made these past several years a pleasure for her. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for family will be held at a later date. If desired, and in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the United Church of Canada, Christ First, 1700 Mazo Crescent, Mississauga, L5J 1Y8
