It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Alexander McLeod (also known
as Donny, Pups, and Papa) at the age of 93. Don passed away peacefully on Friday May 6,
2022, at Sunrise of Oakville.

Don grew up in Swansea, Toronto and married his childhood sweetheart Mary (nee Nelson).
They lived in Etobicoke raising their children, Cathy and Tom. Don spent the best part of his
career with Canadian Johns Manville.

Don will always be remembered as a calm, gentle, caring, and kind husband, father, grandfather
and great grandfather. Proud Poppa of grandchildren Elizabeth, Danielle, Graeme, Jon and
Malory and great grandpa of eight great grandchildren.

Those who knew Don knew of his love of small animals- especially his dogs Patsy, Pepper, and
Joe. For many years he enjoyed golfing and curling at the Board of Trade in Toronto.

Rejoining his wife Mary, and his parents Norman and Beatrice McLeod, Don will be greatly
missed by daughter Cathy (Randy), son Tom (Hilary) and his extended family.

We thank the caring, compassionate staff at Sunrise of Oakville who over the last number of
years also became his family. They treated him with kindness, care, dignity, and respect. For
that we are thankful.
