Dannie Thomas Morris passed away peacefully January 22, 2023 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. His final moments were shared with two of his Granddaughters by his side reading and singing to him. Dannie was the beloved husband of the late Theresa. Loving father to Maurina, Michael (Cathy), Keith and Dan (Leslie). Dear Grandfather to Scott, Jackie, Chris, Candice, Rob, Shayna, Andrew, Paige, Megan, Madeline and Daniel. Great Grandpa to Henry, Clara, Lucas and Lydia. Brother to Marguerite, Stewart, Diane and the late Michael and Effie. Dannie was the son of Dan and Margaret Morris.

Dannie was born in 1933 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, NS. He moved to Ontario and began working at Molson Breweries in Toronto in 1957. He was a proud and active union member and Plant Chairman for many years. He retired in 1990 but continued his union work for many years. He and Theresa traveled to Florida, New York and often returned home to beautiful Cape Breton. He was a member of the Senior Clarkson Community Centre and the Streetsville Square Dancing club for many years.

Dannie was a deeply religious man, strong in his Catholic faith. He loved to play the guitar and sing, and he wrote many spiritual songs that we all had the pleasure to enjoy. He prayed every night for all his family and also for any friends that were in need of prayers. He lived a long and beautiful life. In his last months he often said he was waiting for Jesus to find him and bring him home. He found you at last Dad and now you can rest in his loving arms. We will miss you forever.
