Condolences

Condolence From: Darlene Stecko
Condolence: Dear Jenny and Daniel,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your dear mother Carolyn. Although we didn't work in the same school, we met at various educational events and it was a pleasure to talk, laugh, and chat about work and life in general. She was a true professional, a wonderful mentor, and a great colleague who was willing to share ideas and resources at a moment's notice. I will truly miss her smile, enthusiasm, and most of all her friendship. May God give her eternal peace.

Condolence: I am a parent of students past and present of St Martin Secondary. My oldest in particular had the good luck to have Carolyn Arnold as his teacher for several classes and heading up DECA in the first year that the school had a team, and both my boys had her as their badminton coach. She was such a wonderful teacher and coach, who obviously chose her teaching career for all of the right reasons. She was so positive and encouraging to her students. She went above and beyond to help them achieve their goals. I was very grateful for her interest in my kids’ success. I am so very saddened to hear of her passing and hope that her family knows that she left a very positive impression on many people’s lives and she will not be forgotten.

Condolence: I am heartbroken at the passing of my dear friend, Carolyn. She was someone I truly looked up to -- brilliant, caring, kind and so very wise. We shared much laughter over the two decades we'd known each other. I'll miss her sage advice, her wise-cracking wit, her charm. She'll never be forgotten.
My condolences to Daniel, Jenny, Matt, Fran, Kathy, Lisa and all the people who loved her.
xx
Frances

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Carolyn’s family and friends. Carolyn and I went to high school together, and though I had not seen her since then, it does not make her passing any less sad. I treasure the comment she wrote in my yearbook, and am pleased that she went on to an important life well lived. I’m sorry for your loss.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Carolyn's family, her children, Daniel and Jenny, her sisters and their families. Carolyn was a wonderful person who will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a model teacher and a gracious and kind person. I always enjoyed going into her well-organized classes to give lessons on how do cite properly and where to find resources for research. It was obvious that Carolyn's students had a great respect for her. St. Martin has lost one of its best teachers. May you rest in peace Carolyn and know that you will be greatly missed, and that you were well loved and appreciated.

Condolence: Dear Daniel, Jenny, Mr. & Mrs. Hrabluk and Family: As I began to read the obituary section in the Saturday Toronto Star a few moments ago, I was truly taken aback and left disheartened to see a photo of Carolyn with her soulful smile ... She and Jim, along with young Daniel and Jenny were our neighbours in Mississauga.

Please accept both my Mom's and my sincere sympathy on her passing. I know if my Dad was alive, he would have been saddened to hear this news as well for he was fond of Carolyn and Jim.

A thousand angels dance around her ... May Carolyn's soul rest in everlasting peace ...

Condolence: My deepest condolences to Carolyn's children, Jenny and Daniel; her pride and joy, and to her parents, sisters with their families, and to her relatives. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find some comfort in knowing that so many of us loved and respected Carolyn. She was incredibly dedicated teacher, and such an inspiration to our students, and to all of us teachers, in so many ways. She always found time to offer extra help to our students, or to get involved in extra-curricular activities, or tasks at the Board level, or Provincially. You could always count on Carolyn's helpful hand. Carolyn was a true professional with respect for everyone. She was a very graceful lady, trustworthy, and a dignified soul. I was lucky to call her my friend. I will always cherish the good times we shared, remember the fruitful tasks we were involved in, or our uplifting conversations spiced with laughter. Darling, Carolyn, I loved how you were full of life. I will greatly miss you! May you rest in peace, which you so profoundly deserve.
