In Loving Memory of Caroline Zomer
June 14, 1943 – August 24, 2022

Carlientje “Caroline” Zomer went home to Jesus on August 24, 2022 at the age of 79.

Carol is survived by her husband, Raymond “Ray” Zomer. Their four children, Robert Zomer (Claudia),
Kevin Zomer (Tanya), Brian Zomer (Jackie) and Michelle “Shelly” Prasad (Brenton). Carol was “Oma” to
her twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, Brittany, Shae Lynn, Brianna, Connor, Aaron, Sierra,
Danielle, Simone, Tamia and Geneva. Carol was “Great Oma” to her two great-grandchildren, Liam and
Kaydence.

Carol was a loving older sister to Wilma Kloosterziel, Barb Wiseman (Merv) and John Muns (Lynda) and
predeceased by her brother Bill Muns (2011) and brother-in-law John Kloosterziel (2018).

Carol was the first of five born to Cornelius and Maria Muns. She was born in 1943 during WWII in the
city of Eindhoven, Netherlands. Carol immigrated to Canada in 1957 and met Ray in 1959 at the Clarkson
Christian Reformed Church. Ray and Carol were married on August 24 th , 1963.

Carol had been fiercely battling brain cancer and passed away peacefully in her home in Mississauga,
Ontario. She was surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones on her 59 th wedding anniversary to Ray.

Carol will be remembered for her selfless love, strength, calm composure and willingness to see the
good in everything. She had shared a beautiful garden with Ray that blooms from spring to fall and
planted beans and tomatoes that were given to her loved ones. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and
many people she cared about have beautiful blankets that she created. Carol was well travelled locally
and abroad and loved their retirement years in Florida where they made lots of memories with close
friends and family.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday September 2 nd , 2022 at 2:00 pm at Clearview Christian
Reformed Church, 2300 Sheridan Garden Drive Oakville, On L6J 7R2.

Carol will be laid to rest at the Springcreek Cemetery, 1390 Clarkson Road North Mississauga, ON L5J
2W5. Niche is Oak, Plate # 39. Inscription will follow in the coming days.
