Obituary for Leonardo Rocco Di Leo

Leonardo Rocco Di Leo passed away holding his daughters' hands on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the age of 92 after a brief illness.

Rocco was born on December 7, 1924 in Pisticci, Matera, Italy. He came to Canada in 1952 and built a full and beautiful life with his wife Anna (Sardella), and their five children, Adele Newton (Peter), Micki Di Leo (Bruce Snowden), Mary Ann McKlusky (Doug), John Di Leo, and Etta Di Leo‎ (Dave Johnston). His life will live on through his grandchildren Adam (Tamara), David (Caryl), Evan, Erin, Savannah and Cassidy.
He is survived by his brother, Michele Di Leo, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bianca and Pasquale Plati, and his many nieces and nephews in Italy and in Canada.

Rocco loved his family, his garden and his home. He was blessed to have lived in his home until the last few weeks of his life.

Mr. Di Leo is resting at the funeral home of Skinner & Middlebrook Ltd., 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. Mississauga on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 480 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. Entombment Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St., North York.
