The Canada Pension Plan is a contributory, earnings-related social insurance
program that provides you with a stable and dependable pension you can build on
for retirement. It also provides you and your dependants with basic financial
protection if you become disabled or die. Upon death, application has to be made. Applications are available at our funeral home or please visit www.servicecanada.gc.ca

Pension provides a monthly pension to the surviving spouse, common-law partner
or children of a deceased contributor.

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Children’s Benefits
provide a monthly benefit to the dependent children of disabled or deceased
contributors.
- Canada Pension Plan Death Benefit
The Canada Pension Plan Death Benefit provides a one-time payment
to, or on behalf of, the estate of a deceased contributor.
